It has been a blessing and honor to be the youth pastor at Salem Baptist Church. It has only been two full months since I have been off staff and I am missing ministering to the students of Salem on a consistent basis. God has used the students to teach me so much about trusting Him to complete what He starts. I also have been reminded that my goal as a minister is to share the gospel, disciple people, and live as Jesus. I think that this is living out spiritual worship. There is a tendency to get so involved in things that are not as important and in doing so focus gets blurry and lost. There will always be ebb and flow with how many people are involved in a ministry that I am in, but there does not need to be ebb and flow in my focus,walk with God, and commitment to sharing Jesus and discipling those who are willing to be led. I am very grateful for Salem and salemstudents for loving me and my family and giving us a place to love God and people.
