nine answers

Once again we are brought face to face with heart probing, life defining, vision embracing, character building, and soul longing questions. Rather than listing out the questions here I would like to lay out some answers that have guided and empowered me.

1. We are to GO!

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

There is great joy in being connected with God and believers with missional intenisity. There is a big world full of people that have never heard the good news of Jesus. We have One that is with us always with all authority commanding us to Go for love!

2. Sin and Death. Jesus and Life.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

The gospel must go out to the Thai people and in methodological and theological theory surrounding countries will hear through discipleship and multiplication.

3. Spiritual Commonsense

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:13-17

What a prividledge it is to be a servant of God by bringing the gospel to the other sheep that are not yet of the fold. We are sent out by God, our church, and many individual families. God will speak through His gospel that will be proclaimed because of the labor of people in the states supporting us and trusting God along-side us for an abundance of souls to be rescued.

4. Prepared Goodness

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

When I go out to be with the people, I am not trying to rustle up some good works, no, I am attempting in faith to be obedient as the Holy Spirit empowers me in the good works set up by God the father. God has brought us to a foreign land for definite good works, this breeds hope and faith.

5. God's anointment and His glory

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified....
Isaiah 61:1-3

6. God's work and pleasure

..for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Phil. 2:13

It is God in me that works!!! I want to know God and make Him known. God will work for His good pleasure and it pleases God for us to rest in Him as we labor and toil. It pleases me to please God as He works in me.

7. Reconciliation

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 cor. 519-21

God is reconciling the world to Himself. I want to be an ambassador for Christ.

8. Promises

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. Matthew 19:29

God expands our hearts when we are on mission with Him and in doing so those close to us experience heart expanding along with us. Conversations with family tend to shy away from the trivial and gravitate towards heart depth questions. The promise of receiving a hundredfold bewilders me, but hey, it sounds great. It is also great to see that we will see our inheritance, not our earnings, along the way.

9. Love

For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died.. 2 cor. 5:14

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
