What I saw two months ago…
On my way to the top of a hill to take pictures of the smoke from the town hall in Khon Kaen being burned down by protesters, I found myself at a new protest spot across the street from the front of the gates of Khon Kaen University. The Redshirts were arriving to set a government building on fire. I felt I should leave but decided to stay...at least for a few minutes. The entire building was gutted by fire and a couple of cars were set ablaze too.
Just so you know, it is peaceful here now, as in no current protests, and we do not feel threatened. Even during the protests we knew that it had nothing to do with us, however we maintained distance....until this occurrence. (sorry iphone users, the slideshow uses flash.
